ABOUT US

Caribe Federal Credit Union was founded in 1951 by a group of Federal employees. We are a non-profit financial institution organized and chartered under the Federal Credit Union Act to serve federal employees in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. At the present we also serve over 60 Select Employee groups in Puerto Rico and all the members of the Liga de Estudiantes de Arte de San Juan.

Caribe Federal has an active membership of over 19,000. Our institution is federally insured by National Credit Union Administration (NCUA); an independent agency of the United States Government. NCUA regulates, charters and insures the nation’s federal credit unions. Actually Caribe Federal operates a main office at
Oneill Street in Hato Rey and has two branches; one in GSA Center in Guaynabo and another in US Customs Building in San Juan.

Caribe Federal Credit Union is one of the safest and biggest federal credit union in Puerto Rico with over $220 million in assets. We offer our members a wide variety of financial products and services at lower interest rates and lower service charge. Our members enjoy quality free services by Internet and phone, seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Caribe Federal Credit Union looks to provide our members more and better services every day. The principal goal of Caribe Federal is to be the principal financial institution of our members, not only an alternative.
At the present our current Board Chairman is Rafael  Martínez and our General Manager is Jorge M. Vadell.
