Keep Children's Savings Goals Simple
Tie young children's savings to short-term, rather than long-term, goals. If the goal seems unattainable, the child may become too frustrated to develop the savings habit. Have your child choose something to save for--maybe a book or toy. Once your child achieves that goal, encourage another one.

Cari Kid Shares Savings Club

Caribe Federal Credit Union educational savings club for your child, 12 and under.

The Cari Kid Shares Savings Club program will help parents teach their children about the importance of saving money. Although the lesson is a serious one, we teach it in a way that is fun! Your child will learn HOW to save money and WHY to save money!

How does the Cari Kid Shares Savings Work?

Your child’s account is set-up just like your regular account. It earns dividends and there is no monthly service charge. To open the account they only need $6.00 and as a special bonus to kid’s they have their own ATM card with an ID photo. Parents need only to fill out a membership application, listing the parent(s) as the joint owner(s). Kids can deposit their money by using their Cari Kid Coin Saver Book and keep record of their savings with a transaction notebook.

Saving Money is FUN!

When your child brings $6.00 or more into Caribe Federal Credit Union to open an account, your child becomes a member of the Cari Kid Shares Savings Club and a member of Caribe Federal Credit Union.

Your children receive a Cari Kid Coin Saver Book and a Cari Kid Record Keeper when they open their account. Each time your child brings a filled Cari Kid Coin Saver Book to any of our branches he/she will receive a special sticker for a deposit of $5 or more.
